Previous owner's name and date on front paste-down, otherwise interior is bright and clean. Dust jacket has a very small bit of chipping at tail of spine; edges rubbed; a few soil spots on rear panel; not price clipped; in an archival sleeve. 200 pp. 7.25 x 4.75 inches.

Personal narrative of the author, an English exchange teacher, describing her experiences at an isolated location in British Columbia. She taught for two years at small log-cabin school in Big Bar Creek, near Jesmond in the South Cariboo (1948-1950). She provides a broad and clearly written picture of the community and what life was like in the area.
