Two items are laid-in with connections to the Elder family of Coshocton, Ohio--with CSPS ties: a letter to J. F. Elder from 1908 (in Columbus, at the time); and a photograph (split in two pieces) of sixteen men and women standing next to a mountain cabin, circa 1900. Every person is identified on the back, including a member of the Elder family. Two Elders attended the Colorado State Prep School: J. Harry Elder (class of 1902) and Mary Esther Elder (class of 1905).
Two newspaper clippings are also laid in: a photo of Mildred McNutt, a soprano vocalist with a midwest Chautauqua (who graduated in the class of 1904); and a clipping about the Columbus city high school graduations of 1905.
