Description: Two volumes. Each volume is signed by the author, limited to 2000 copies, and both are hand-numbered [1163/2000]. Both are in brown faux-leather boards with some rubbing to edges. Previous owner's bookplate on front paste-downs; a couple minor spots of soiling. Illustrated. the indexes for each volume appear in Vol. 2. Approximately 330 unnumbered pages combined. 10.5 x 8.25 inches (Vol. 2 is oblong).
Fully illustrated catalogs of rare firearms and related items (mostly American & European and a some Oriental). Pistols, revolvers, rifles, powder flasks, and more.
The introduction to Volume 2 states that what is shown is the collection of Miles W. Standish (1893-1967, Kansas City), a national authority on rare firearms. Includes a few items that belonged to Jesse James, Frank James, and Cole Younger (with images of the provenance statements of Mrs. Thomas T. Crittenden, Jr.).
