A rare copy of the edition of Un Mystere translated by Anna Dyer Page, no copies located on OCLC. [The edition published by Donohue, Henneberry & Co. was translated by Harvey C. Alford.]

A rich young Frenchman, Lieutenant Raymond de Beaurand, kills himself just a few hours after his marriage, and seemingly did without reason. Beaurand's friend, Theodore Benoist, goes into detective mode to unravel the mystery and the beautiful widow is under suspicion.

Madame Henry Greville was the pseudonym of the French novelist Alice Marie Durand (1842-1902), active in the 1870s and 1880s.
