Inscribed ''For Gwyneth / - Bill Stafford''. Gwyneth and Brian Booth were notable supporters of Oregon literature. Brian helped found the Northwest Review, founded the Oregon Institute of Literary Arts ( later Literary Arts, Inc.), and established the Oregon Book Awards and Oregon Literary Fellowships. Together, and individually, they played leading roles in the cultural and civic life of the state.
