Includes notes on each signature indicating its exact location measured in paces from the nearest street corner. The introduction provides a description of how the rubbings were made and photos of the process. The signatures were a form of advertising for contractors and concrete companies.
Christopher A. Gossett graduated with a degree in printmaking and drawing from Portland State University in 1976. He published another book in 1983 called Rubbings from the Rose City.
