Includes several historic photographs, both alphabetical and chronological lists of the Alger High School graduates 1909-1974 (with girls' married names included), plat maps, an 1890-1899 map showing owners names on the plots of Marion Township, census info 1850-1880, listings of burials in cemeteries, lists of Civil War non-commissioned officers, Spanish-American War veterans (2nd Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company G, of Kenton).
Also includes short chapters dedicated to the Shadley Family and to the following nearby townships: Blanchard, Buck, Cessna, Dudley, Goshen, Hale, Jackson, Liberty, Lynn, Pleasant, Roundhead (and Bowdle Settlement), Taylor Creek, and Washington (each providing a list of early settlers).
