Description: Circa 1900, photograph of a Lake Erie & Detroit River Railway Ticket Office building with a trolley car in the foreground and a few people standing out front. Also visible are a bicycle and a wagon-cart. The specific location where the photograph is unknown, but is likely in one of the Ontario counties of Essex, Kent, or Lambton.
Very good condition. The image is 9.5 x 12 cm. The backing board is 14 x 16.4 cm and has holes punched in each of the four corners. No writing or other identification.
Over the front door of the split-level 2.5 story brick building, it reads ''L E & D R Ry / Ticket Office''. The side of the building is swathed in large painted advertising which reads: City Ticket Offices - G.T.R & C & G.T.R - River Lake & Ocean - Steamship - Tickets to all points East & West - Lake Line Agency.
In front of the office stand three men (one appears to be either ticket clerk or perhaps the trolley conductor) and a woman and child.
