In 1987, the Coyotes came back to Old Pascua. With them came a traditional genre of poetic expression that had not been performed in that Yaqui Indian community since 1941. This volume provides the story and the transcriptions and translations of the nine songs to which the Coyotes danced the night they came back. The songs were sung by Felipe S. Molina, a Yaqui singer who has served as governor of Yoem Pueblo and as a member of the Pascua Tribal Council.
