Berjeau's treatise on the homeopathic treatment of venereal and urinary diseases, including sections on spermatorrhea as well as masturbation, is here revised and added to by the American physician, James Henry Paine Frost (1825-1875). Frost was born in Bethel, Maine, and earned his medical degree in 1849 at the Homoeopathic Medical College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, where also taught during the years 1865-1868. He also co-founded and edited the Hahnemannian Monthly.
