Vintage, illustrated catalog presenting the farm cultivators, rakes, and harrowers offered by the manufacturer, the Long & Allstatter Company of Hamilton, Ohio. Featured are various tongue, tongueless, walking, riding, combined riding and walking, and bar share cultivators. There are also the steel tooth rake and the new vibrating cleaner rake, tongue and tongueless disc harrows, and a hay and straw cutter.
The first page shows the ''Adjustible-Arch ''Bar-Share'' Cultivator, Steel-Tooth Sulky Rake.'' The front cover shows a girl on a horse-drawn riding cultivator with several other girls playing in hay. The rear cover shows a couple lounging by a fence while a man in the background guides a walking cultivator, with a small, inset image of the Long & Allstatter factory.
Founded in Hamilton in the mid-1850's as the Long, Black & Allstatter Company. In 1870, Black sold his interest in the company to his partners. It was eventually absorbed into the Columbia Machine Tool Company in the early 1940's.
