Piute Pete's instructions for fourteen square dances, four play parties/mixers for warm-up, a few country games, sixteen pieces of music, and a page with four of his large quantity punch recipes.

Published by the Village Recreation Service, affiliated with the Greenwich Village venue called the Village Barn, which hosted Piute Pete's dances in the late-1940s and early 1950s. [After it closed in 1967, the location became the home of Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studios.]

Piute Pete (pseudonym of Morris Kaufman, b. 1911) was famed for his square dance sessions in clubs across the United States and Canada and was also featured for several years on the NBC-TV program Cracker Barrel.
