Description: Gray papered cardboard covers with gold lettering and black binders tape over spine. Quite worn, boards soiled. Inscription on title page, else the interior is in relatively good condition, with a few pages showing minor soiling or dog-ears. 144, [4] pages. Placed in a an archival mylar sleeve. No copies noted on OCLC.  

A scarce 1906 cookbook from Jollytown, Greene County, Pennsylvania. The recipes are all accredited to by name. The concluding section (about 40 pages) includes recipes for household remedies, insecticides, and laundry solutions, and provides gardening and household management tips, plus an article on temperance and ''How to Organize a W.C.T.U.'' The final four pages present advertising, an index, and a list of members of the church's Ladies' Aid Society from which a copy may be procured (which includes several members of the Clovis family, prominent in the community).  

The inscription on the title page appears to have been made by the noted author and authority on education for the blind, Dr. Merle E. Frampton (1903-1998). In the note, he indicates that this belonged to his mother, Pearl Frampton, and names three of her grandchildren. Dr. Frampton served as the Director of the New York Institute for the Education of the Blind from 1935 to 1971.
