The USS Isle Royale began its cruise at Long Beach on 16 Sep 1966, and returned to Long Beach on 1 May 1967, with ports at Pearl Harbor, Yokosuka, Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Chu Lai (Vietnam), Hong Kong, and Subic Bay. This Shenandoah-class destroyer tender assisted the 7th fleet.
