The story of the Canadian hockey great Maurice Richard (1921-2000), who played 18 seasons for the Montreal Canadiens between 1942 and 1960. He was the first player in National Hockey League history to score 50 goals in one season and the first to reach 500 career goals. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1961 and in 2017 the NHL named Richard as one of the 100 Greatest NHL Players of all time.
