Jabez Thomas Sunderland (1842-1936) was a British-born Unitarian minister of distinction. He was minister at Chicago (1876-1878), Ann Arbor (1878-1898), Toronto (1901-1907), Hartford, Connecticut (1907-1911), and Poughkeepsie, New York (1914-1927). In 1913-1914, he was the Billings lecturer of the American Unitarian Association in Japan, China and India. He was the author of several books, including The Liberal Christian Ministry (1889), Japan Rising (1918), and India in Bondage (1928).
