Osterhoudt, deployed with the 7th Fleet in the Western Pacific from October 1964 through May 1965. During the cruise, she is known to have conducted Anti-Submarine Warfare off of the coast of Vietnam in the early months of 1965. With photographs on every page, this book commemorates not only the men, but the ports of call, the operational departments, and sailors aboard the aircraft carrier presenting America's strength at the start of the Vietnam War.
Includes a full cruise roster (noting each person's department, rate, and home city/state).
