Harry Allard (1928-2017) was an award-winning author of children's books. Illustrated by James Marshall (1942-1992), another popular author of children's books. Marshall was posthumously awarded the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal for his substantial and lasting contribution to American children's literature.
