Commemorative booklet for the undefeated College of the Pacific Tigers 1949 football team, who under Coach Larry Siemering had a record of 11-0 and was the 15th college team in history to score 500 or more points in a single season. At one point, the Tigers were ranked 10th in the nation by the Associated Press and second on the Pacific Coast.
This booklet features player portraits, game action photos, team roster, full reports on each of the eleven games (plus the Shrine East-West game), cumulative and individual statistics, and portraits of Larry Siemering and his four assistant coaches, team staff, and Pacific's athletic department officers.
The Tigers beat (and mainly demolished) in succession: University of San Francisco, Loyola University, University of Cincinnati, University of Nevada, University of Portland, San Diego State, San Jose State, University of Utah, Fresno State, California Polytechnic, and the University of Hawaii.
Quarterback Eddie LaBaron was voted Most Valuable Player in the annual Shrine East-West game and went on to play eleven seasons in the NFL with both Washington DC and the Dallas Cowboys. In 1980 he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
