A historical presentation of the Mount Adams area of Klickitat County,Washington, geographically located between the White Salmon and Klickitat rivers. Primarily covers the pioneers and early settlers up through the first decades of the 20th century. It includes descriptions and the geography and natural features of the area, and touches on the Klickitat Indians, the logging industry, early businesses, and various developments that shaped the history of the area. The ''Mount Adams Country'' includes a stretch of the Columbia River Gorge and the communities of White Salmon, Bingen, Lyle, BZ Corner, Husum, Trout Lake, Wahkiacus, Appleton, Glenwood, Klickitat, Camas Prairie and Glenwood.
Inscribed by the author with his respects paid to a longtime White Salmon physician and former Klickitat County Health Officer, Wayne M. Henkle (1917-1986).
