A rare copy of Corcoran's expose of the confluence of organized crime and corrupted politicians in Pierce County and the state of Washington. He states that, by the late 1960s, individuals with strong ties to organized crime were well entrenched into the state capital, and that this association, involving both political parties, filtered down through the various state agencies. From regulatory laxity and obfuscation of investigations by the State Liquor Commission (and issues around liquor licenses and topless bars), to racketeering, arson, fraud, extortion, prostitution, murder, pornography, and the selling of narcotics, Corcoran's research exposes the depth of the problem. The expose is augmented with copies of a variety of legal documents and transcriptions of interviews. The research is very specific and involves very many named individuals, agencies, places of business.

Robert ''Bob'' Corcoran (1930-2014) was a notable Seattle/Tacoma-area TV and radio commentator, the host of the controversial Bob Corcoran Show (1968-1972), and an investigator for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and KING-TV. These were originally mailed to the wife of Fred ''Fritz'' Nobel, the three-decade owner of Fritz's Tavern in Tacoma.
