Lacks statement of publication date, but newspaper announcements in December 1887 declared its publication. 32 pages. 10 x 7.5 inches. Placed in archival mylar.

A beautifully illustrated Victorian-era children's book, with eight color plates and alternating monotint pictures by the British illustrators William St Clair Simmons (active 1878-1917) and Ernest Wilson. The verses are by Frederic Weatherly (1848-1929), a British lawyer and lyricist, best known for the popular ballad ''Danny Boy.
