Describes specific criminal cases and the role and experiences of the sheriff during these years. In addition, the Fletcher family story is told, with their arrival in western Colorado in 1884 and their homesteading and ranching at Russell Gulch and elsewhere in the Fraser River Valley. Co-written by Fletcher's daughter Elsie.
