Original 1961 issue of the vocal score for Floyd Carlisle's opera, based on Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. It was commissioned by the Santa Fe Opera and it premiered on July 16, 1958. A revised version of the work was performed at the New York City Opera on April 9, 1959. Both performances cast the renowned soprano Phyllis Curtin as Cathy.
Includes cast credits for both the World Premier at Santa Fe and the New York Premier. The last page lists several other Floyd scores, with ''Death Came Knocking'' (1961) being the latest.
