Description: Beveled boards in ornately stamped green cloth: front and spine decoratively stamped in gilt and brown. Front cover features a gilt shield upon which is depicted a jousting Don Quixote. All edges gilt (still bright). Corners lightly worn. Inner hinges good. Yellow stone endpapers. Interior is unmarked and generally clean. 62 in-text illustrations, plus frontispiece. xii + 644 pages. An attractive copy.

There is no statement of date, but likely published circa 1880-1890. The address for Gall & Inglis here (London: 25 Paternoster Square & Edinburgh: 20 Bernard Terrace), was used by them between 1875 and 1909. [Note: This edition lacks the four color plates featured in Gall & Inglis's edition of 1870.]
