Includes a foreword by Floyd Dell, the editor of the Max Eastman's magazine ''The Masses,'' which co-published Heavenly Discourse with the Vanguard Press.

The original owner, Winifred Winkler, graduated from the University of Oregon in 1932, and in 1934, married the notable Oregon architect Earl P. Newberry.
