A murder mystery by British novelist Colin Watson (1920-1983), one of the books in his Flaxborough Chronicles that features Inspector Purbright. Lonelyheart 4122 was adapted for television by the BBC in 1978 as part of their Murder Most English series. It also received an adaptation for BBC Radio 4 in 1990.
