A genealogy of the Parkinson and related families, primarily tracing and telling the stories of the descendants of three sons of Timothy Parkinson (b. 1806, Horwich (now part of Greater Manchester), Lancashire, England, d.1891, Wellsville, Utah) and his wife Elizabeth Ann Fielding, also a native of Lancashire, who died in 1843 after having several children. Timothy became a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1846. With his seond wife Mary Haslam and several of his children, he left England for America in January 1853, and arrived in Salt Lake City in October of that year. He went on to settle in Grantsville, Utah (where his wife would be the first adult buried at the Grantsville Cemetery) and then finally at Wellsville, Utah.
The volume covers a period up through the year 1972, recording the families and descendants of three sons: Charles Graham Parkinson (1833, Lancashire, d. 1905, Grantsville), Timothy Fielding Parkinson (1840, Lancashire, d.1898, buried at the Wellsville Cemetery), and Henry Fielding Parkinson (1843, Lancashire, d. 1923, Wellsville).
