A collection of articles written in 1959 by Ann Martinazzi (1903-1973), based on her interviews with Tualatin's old-timers, ''including the elderly sons and daughters of the Oregon Trail pioneers who opened their attics and family albums and shared their memories with her... Among those who shared their memories were Martha Galbreath Helmke, Elsie Mae Cimino, Bessie Smith Galbreath, Walter and Dorothy Dickinson, Topy Reber, Ann Thompson, Mrs. Richard Elsner, Charlie Roberts, Mary Sagert, Clyde Hedges and Mrs. Everett Schultz.''

These articles ran in the Tri-City Times in 1959. In 1976, the Washington County Historical Society reprinted most of the series in its booklet, Land of Tuality. They are reprinted in full here for the first time. Tualatin is located in Washington County, Oregon. It is southwest of Portland and is near King City, Tigard, and Sherwood.
