Divided into two parts:
''A Book of Pictures: The Story of Bunny-Patch,'' illustrated by the New Zealand-British artist Harry Rountree (1878-1950).
''The 'Tell-A-Story' Book: Pictures for Children to Make Up Their Own Story,'' which features illustrations by Harry Rountree, Elsie M. Kroll, and a handful of other artists.
Samuel Edward Lowe (1884-1952) was hired around 1916 as one of the first salesmen for Whitman Publishing and within a few years had worked his way up to President. In 1940, he left Whitman to establish his own rival firm, the Samuel E. Lowe Company. He was the author of several children's books, including some that he wrote under the pseudonym Helen Hart (e.g. Bunny-boy and His Magic Umbrella, The Red Cross Girls at Work, Mary Lee the Red Cross Girl, and five volumes in the Campfire Girls series).
