1917 rural directory for Kent County, Michigan. Residents are identified by name, typically identifying the name of spouse if married, the number of children, occupation, if they are owners, tenants or boarders, number of acres, number of horses and cattle, township, and rural mail route. A classified business directory is also included.
There are about a couple dozen small black-and-white photos: some are humorous, some show scenes on farms, and there also somewhat grainy photos that show the Main streets of Lowell, Caledonia, Rockford, Cedar Springs, and Sparta's Division Street).
