Catologue No. 14, featuring 346 pieces, issued by the New York City rare book seller Barnet Julius Beyer (1887-1947), whose place of business was at the time located at 5 East 52nd Street, just around the corner from 5th Avenue. The catalog is undated, but a notice for it appears in the column ''Notes on Rare Book'' in the June 15, 1930 edition of The New York Times.

As the Times says of the catalog, ''there are so many good things that there is not space to dwell upon them.'' Includes Max Beerbohm's autograph manuscript of ''The Guerdon''; one of Rupert Brooke's last letters (with a premonition of his approaching end); Burke's Reflections on the Revolution in France, uncut in original boards; a presentation copy of Carlyle's Sartor Resartus, Mark Twain's autograph manuscript of ''To the Reader''; a fine uncut copy of Coleridge's Poems on Various Subjects with a portion of the manuscript; a presentation copy of David Copperfield with an ALS about the work; Adam Smith's copy of The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire; a few Thomas Hardy autograph letters signed; Samuel Johnson's copy of Petronius' Satyricon; several Mencken signed and presentation copies; Samuel Richardson first editions; a Shakespeare first illustrated edition in 7 vols.; an earliest issue of Humphrey Clinker; Walt Whitman and Oscar Wilde ALS's, and much more.
