Binding is firm, with some cracking to hinges. Interior is unmarked. Some intermittent light soiling to pages, else interior generally clean. 52 illustrations, including 49 full-page portraits. 538 pages. 11 x 8.5 inches.

The author, Dr. Charles Robertson (1799-1884), practiced medicine in McConnelsville for nearly sixty years. He began working on this history of Morgan County in 1876.
