Stephen Arthur Stone (1885-1982) was a newspaperman in Oregon for over 50 years. He began his career in 1910 with Union-Bulletin in Walla Walla. Between 1915 and 1925 he served as city and then managing editor of the Oregon Statesman. Until his retirement in 1962, he was with the Salem Capitol-Journal.
