Instructional by Alvino Rey (1908-2004), jazz guitarist and band leader, and also considered to be "the First King of Electrics." He is also known as the originator of the electraharp and one of the first to use a two-pickup guitar. He is pictured on the cover with his Gibson EH-150. Rey first amplified his banjo in the 1920's and in 1935 Gibson hired him to develop a pickup prototype, leading to their first electric guitar, the ES-150. Has a few pictures, including one of him playing his double neck steel guitar with Horace Heidt's Orchestra.
