The sixth weather almanac produced by Henry George Vennor (1840-1884) of Montreal, a Canadian geologist and ornithologist who became well known as a weather forecaster. (Wikipedia). This almanac was published by August Vogeler of Baltimore, who was also the manufacturer of St. Jacob's Oil "the great German remedy for rheumatism." Per the St. Jacob's Oil advertisement on the rear cover, this copy was originally distributed compliments E. F. Dutton [Edward], a pharmacist/druggist in Barton, Vermont (Orleans County). Includes a general forecast for the autumn-winter of 1882-1883 and detailed forecasting month-by-month. The second half of the booklet contains a variety of curious articles, stories, and little pieces of interest.
