The autobiography of Harry Edward Tyler, Sr. (1898-1982), who was born in Kearney, Nebraska and graduated from Doane College in Crete. The first two-thirds of the book cover his life up until 1928, when he and his family moved to Sacramento, where he was hired as the Vice-Principal of Sacramento High School. The final third mostly covers his years as a California school administrator through the mid 1950s, in Sacramento and then in Pasadena.
Harry was the son of Rev. William Augustus Tyler (1867-1950), who served as the superintendent of the Nebraska Congregational Conference from 1920 until his retirement in 1938.
