The fourth and final book of poetry by American poet James L. White (1936-1981). After a career as a ballet dancer he went on to live and teach among the Navajo people in New Mexico and Arizona and later moved to and Minnesota and developed a creative writing project for Chippewa children. Among his other work, he edited two volumes of contemporary Native American poetry and remained closely associated with tribal people.
