Dust jacket shows light edge wear; shallow chipping at head of spine; not price clipped (2.00); closed tear to top of front flap; significant darkening to top and bottom edges from the use of non-archival materials in the prior jacket sleeve. DJ in a new clear archival sleeve. 253 pp. 7.75 x 5.5 inches.
Four copies noted on OCLC. Chester William Harrison (1913-1994), who also wrote under the pen names Coe Williams and Will Hickok, was a prolific author who wrote both fiction and non-fiction. He is known for his western novels Web of Gunsmoke, The Restless Gun, and Trail of the Gun, with the last two having tie-ins to the television series The Restless Gun (1957-1959). The 1957 movie The Guns of Fort Petticoat, starring Audie Murphy, was adapted from Harrison's story Petticoat Brigade.
