Bookplate for "Catherine Wedgwood / Parkfield." Catherine "Kitty" Wedgwood (1774-1823) was the daughter of Josiah Wedgwood, the founder of Wedgwood pottery company; she was also the aunt of Charles Darwin. Parkfield became the Wedgwood home when Josiah's widow Sarah and their two youngest daughters, Catherine and Sarah, moved there in 1802. Catherine never married. As with other members of the family she was involved in the anti-slavery movement.
