A travelogue beginning with the departure in July 1902 from Redlands, California, which took the author and his son across the continent and completely around the globe. The account was originally published by the Redlands Daily Review in a series of 101 letters written by the author on trains, at hotels and bungalows, on steamships, in out-of-the-way places, and under varying circumstances while on his journey.
