Along spine edges cloth is getting thin and shows a few short splits. Corners pushed with exposed tips. Spine a bit darker than boards and has a spotted appearance. Inner hinges are in good condition. Previous owner's name on ffep, otherwise pages are clean. Frontispiece with tissue guard (both toned). xiii,513,  pp. 7.75 x 5.5 inches.
Includes the short stories The White People, The Great God Pan, The Inmost Light, and The Red Hand, as well as the novels The Three Impostors and A Fragment of Life.
Previous owner was Colonel Edgar Malin Hoopes, Jr. (1888-1931). The Hoopes Reservoir in Wilmington, Delaware is named for him. He was the Chief Engineer of the city's Water Department and also, prior to his death, served as an aid-de-camp to Delaware's Governor C. Douglass Buck.
