Ellanor Frances Cornelius (1859-1941) grew up in southern Michigan in the small cities of Hillsdale and Adrian before moving to Grand Rapids. In 1915 she moved with her husband Charles to Atascadero (San Luis Obispo County), California. She was involved in literary organizations and was member of the Southern California Woman's Press Club (a branch of the Pacific Coast Woman's Press Association).
