There are also notes on Post's general store, grange, its schools, the Newsom Creek Cemetery, the Maury Mountain Mine, old moonshine stills, the Whimmer family cheese factory, the Henry & Cayton sawmill, etc. Some properties are described in more detail than others with some being given a short paragraph and others a couple pages. Includes many local anecdotes and biographical information on early residents.
The author, Beverly Wolverton, collected much of the information from her father John Beoletto (the Beoletto family settled in Post in 1913) as well as from other old timers and with help from the Crook County Clerk's office.
