Charles Porterfield Krauth (1823-1883) was an American pastor, theologian and educator, closely associated with the Neo-Lutheran revival. He taught systematic theology at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and mental and moral philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania (where he was also vice-provost). He owned one of the best regarded personal libraries in the United States, which consisted of about fifteen thousand volumes largely containing primary sources.
William Fleming (1794-1866) was Professor of Moral Philosophy at the University of Glasgow from 1839 to 1866.
