A history of the town of Alpine (Benton County) Oregon. Stories and miscellany about Alpine and its pioneers and early settlers. The material compiled here by Edna Mintonye had begun as a project started with her students, wherein interviews were done with south Benton County old-timers, letters written to descendants of pioneers, court house records checked, and cemeteries visited. It was originally issued in 1963 as a handmade edition on one-hundred copies.
Edna Alley Mintonye (1896-1997) moved to Philomath in 1930 and to Alpine in 1938. She worked as a teacher in Alpine between 1946 and 1963.
