Author: Mindia Hua Klein [Mindy Klein]
Description: Comb-bound in card and plastic covers. Covers rubbed. Pages clean. 149 single-sided pages, plus 48 single-sided pp. of sheet music. 11 x 9 inches.
Based on her master's thesis, this is Mindia Klein's work which describes her personal journey as a musician, her specific experiences in learning Indian Classical and Balinese gamelan music with her teachers, and covers the history and elements of the music of India and Bali, as well as various aspects of music's spiritual dimension.
The forty-nine pages of sheet music include six of her own compositions (these songs have appeared on the albums Natural Rhythms, Visions of a Peaceful Planet, and her solo album Quiessence) and 25 pages of Haidakhan Bhajans. Though the table of contents lists nine pages of Balinese compositions, these are not included.

She graduated of New York City's High School of Performing Arts, received her bachelor's degree from the University of California in Aesthetic Studies in Music, and her master's degree from Antioch University (San Francisco) with a specialization in World Music and Composition.
