Veronica Dengel (1900-1980) was a nationally known authority on beauty and charm, author, columnist, and lecturer, who described herself as a "beauty engineer." In the early 1940's she was the head of the Body Styling Department of the Dorothy Gray Salon on Fifth Avenue in New York City. She also taught a course on personal development at New York University and was the president of the American Women's Institute.
