Philomath College, located in Philomath (Benton County), Oregon, was founded in 1867 by the United Brethren Church. It closed its doors in 1929. This history was originally published in 1929. Includes a bibliography, a list of original sources used, a two-page history of the other college in the town, the similarly named College of Philomath (1889-1913), and a Preface by Bill G. Fendall of the Philomath College Building Restoration Committee.
Clair Greek Springer (1879-1953) was an Oregon educator and historian. He graduated from Monmouth Normal College in 1905.
