Andrew Preston Peabody (1811-1893) was an American clergyman and author. In 1860, after serving twenty-seven years as pastor at South Parish Unitarian Church in Portsmouth, NH, he became Harvard University's Plummer Professor of Christian Morals, a post he retained until his active retirement in 1881.
